John Williams. You may not be familiar with the name, but boy oh boy, you sure are familiar with his music and you may not even know it. Let’s see have you watched films such as Jaws, E.T., Superman, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter. Those are just some of the films where you have heard his compositions, and when I found out he was performing, I knew I had to secure tickets to this concert in advance to watch this living legend do his thing. Let me share my experience from that wonderful evening last September.
This was my first time attending an event at the Hollywood Bowl and so I didn’t want any surprises. Driving up to Los Angeles from San Diego is already a 2 hour adventure on its own. My wife and I decided to not park on site at the Hollywood Bowl. Instead, we parked our car at the Los Angeles Zoo parking lot and took a shuttle bus to the venue. Parking was free and we only paid for round trip shuttle service which was about $7 per person.
Once at the Hollywood Bowl, we bought some souvenir light sabers, because we all knew Star Wars theme music was going to be performed. I managed to get good seats on the left side. Ticket prices can pretty hefty and I was able to balance budget with view. We enjoyed a wonderful time being at an outside venue listening to some of the most recognized music in the movie industry. Enjoy some of the pics from that evening.
